In our household, we are always searching for ideas on how to fill the kids' lunchboxes with healthy, interesting meals at the lowest cost. Looking for some great frugal lunch ideas for your children's lunches (or maybe even your own lunch)? Find many frugal lunch tips and share your ideas on keeping lunches interesting without breaking the family budget here. Have you stopped by Cook's Corner lately? It's a great place to meet some cooking friends, share recipes, and get ideas on what to do with all of your cheap food finds. You can read the daily "What's for Dinner?" thread for some cooking inspiration, and check out some recipes for you slow cooker in preparation for those busy fall evenings! Let your AFC friends help make meal planning easy and fun! AFC's Frugal Living forum is filled with great tips from members on how to do all things frugally, including stocking your freezer, making your own cleaning supplies, and everything in between. Every month, you'll find a group of members here that set a budget, post their saving and spending goals for the month, and encourage each other to stick with their plans throughout the month. It is a great way to start thinking about budgeting and to put a plan into action with support from like-minded members! Check out their August thread and consider jumping in and giving it a go for September! It's the perfect time to set some goals and start planning ahead for holiday spending. | Member Spotlight Congratulations to SLance68, the winner of our Awesome AFC'er award for September. Here's what she had to say about AFC: 1. Tell us a little about yourself. How long have you been a member of AFC? I lurked for quite a long time and finally joined December 2006. 2. What is your favorite feature of AFC and why? I like knowing what coupons and sales are upcoming. 3. How do you get coupons and how do you keep them organized? I print out internet coupons, and I also get Sunday Coupons from the Orlando Sentinel. 4. Tell us about you favorite store to shop and/or your favorite item to stockpile. My favorite store to shop is Walmart, but I stockpile HBA items from CVS. 5. What advice do you have for someone new to couponing? What tips can you share for someone new to AFC? Read, read, read, and then ask questions for anything you don't understand.
